Katherine Porterfield, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant at Women’s Pelvic Surgery of North Jersey, where she works closely with the physicians to provide comprehensive care to women with complex pelvic health conditions. In her role, she assists in advanced pelvic and gynecologic surgeries and evaluates patients in the office, helping guide them through diagnosis, treatment planning, and recovery.
Katherine earned her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Saint Elizabeth University. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, she worked as a medical assistant in a gynecology practice, where she gained extensive experience in women’s health and developed a strong foundation in routine gynecologic care.
Her passion for gynecology and surgery continued to grow throughout her training. During her OB/GYN clinical rotation, she trained in a hospital setting and had the opportunity to scrub into a variety of surgical procedures, further strengthening her interest in surgical gynecology. She later expanded her surgical experience as a Physician Assistant assisting with specialized gynecologic aesthetic procedures.
